Dining on the Terrace

Alexander’s Restaurant is situated on our rooftop terrace, with a comfy contemporary feel; enjoy a lazy afternoon curled up in one of the booths with your book or wind down after a busy day at the office with a glass of wine sitting at our coconut bar.

Food is served all day for residents, offering a selection of dishes comprised of local ingredients, such as beef from Iringa, we specialise in seafood tuck into a tasty Swahili prawn curry or our lobster thermidor a real favourite.

Tables at our restaurant must be booked in advance. Please email us with all the details and we will get you booked in.

Enjoy a drink in-amongst the tree tops. Guests often head upstairs and set up office in one of the booths, where one of our waiters will be on hand to serve refreshments.

We have a beautiful glass-topped wine cellar situated in the lounge. We have one of the largest wine selections in Tanzania. Choose a bottle South African wine such as Rijk’s, Hoopenburg, Hartenburg, Delheim, or enjoy a bottle of classic Chateau-neuf du Pap.

Gordon, following in his Scottish heritage, is an avid whisky collector so please feel free to ask him for an off-the-menu selection.

Alexander’s is happy to take group dinner bookings or host corporate cocktails, event sizes have to be small as space is limited. We can accommodate corporate cocktails with a maximum of forty guests, and group dinner bookings for up to twenty people.
